On February 10, my aunt, Aracely Vargas, suffered a stroke. She is still in the hospital and is facing a long recovery. Currently, she has limited mobility on her left side and will need physical therapy to get her life back.
As a devoted housewife, she has no insurance, and many rehab facilities have refused to take her. The cheapest one available is $350 a day, and she is afraid she will not be able to stay long enough to regain full mobility. She is still a young woman with a lot of life left in front of her and two elderly parents to help care for.
