Arabian Knights LGBTQ is a Not-for-profit bi-monthly event providing a safe space for the Middle Eastern LGBTQ community.
The funds will help develop and support several programs specific to the Middle Eastern Community.
The programs will focus on HIV & AIDS education, safe sex practices, knowing when to come out, how to accept their sexual orientiation, and how to accept their sexuality and their faith.
There is an increase of LGBTQ Middle Easterners that narrive to Canada with no one. They come here by themselves. We want to provide a place where we can network them with lawyers, education, work, housing.
I personally have lived a hard life. I was kicked out of home at the age of 15 for being gay. I had no one there for me and it let me to the point of homelessness. I strongly believe that these programs will help prevent other LGBTQ Middle Easterners make the same mistakes I have and have a better richer and more educated life.
