Arabella's Vision Therapy and NAPA Treatment

Hi Everyone,

My name is Jess DeAngelo and I am fundraising on behalf of Liz Proctor and her family. As many of you know, Liz owns Snip Snaps in Guilford. She is an amazing hairstylist with an even bigger heart. Liz is always giving back to her friends, family, and community whenever she can. Liz gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Arabella, on April 25th. Hours later, Arabella began having problems breathing. She was rushed to the hospital where they learned she was suffering from strokes, seizures, and a massive brain bleed.

She spent 28 days in the NICU. Arabella has been able to receive so much extensive therapy this past year thanks to everyone's generosity. She was diagnosed with Spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy in January. She also was diagnosed in October with being blind.

Liz and her family were just referred to Dr. Padula in Guilford who is a Neuro-Optometrist. Dr. Padula specializes in therapeutic use of lenses and prisms that can help stabilize the disrupted peripheral or ambient visual process. Patients travel from all over the world to see Dr. Padula and Liz’s family is fortunate enough for him to be located right in Guilford!

Arabella was accepted to the NAPA Center in Boston!!!! The cost is a bit higher than initially expected (see under updates for an invoice from the NAPA Center). The funds already raised with this GoFundMe page prior to NAPA were $5064 and was used for Arabella's vision therapy and PT. NAPA is a great program but also very expensive with the total being $7365.
