medical bills and loss of income

In January, 2014 I was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer following  many tesys and a gall bladder operation. It was during this operation that three lesions were found on my liver. A biopsy was performed and the results were that I had cancer. Further tests proved that the cancer is on the head of my pancreas and migrated to my liver. I have gone through six rounds of chemotherapy as of today. I have one more session left until the liver-pancreatic doctor orders more PET/CT scans for comparison. Also on May 30th I was rushed to the hospital by ambulance with severe shortness of breath. As it turned out one of the 'cocktails 'for my chemotherapy had caused fluid to build up in my lungs. That became a ten day stay with several more tests and more specialists were brought in to resolve the proble. I have been home on O2 tanks since leaving the hospital with very little improvement. I am hoping to proceed with "The Whipple Procedure" sometime after August. At which time I will have a two to four week stay in the hospital with drans and feeding tubes. After I get home my insurance will cover one daily visit from a home nurse. The rest of my care will be the duty of my wife of almost 36 years. She will have to take as much as two months leave without pay. There are also general maintance on our home that may have to be done by hired help. I am also a Type II Diabetic which adds complications to everything along the way. I do have a decent health insurance policy, but I am 64 years old and on social security without medicare until next April 2015. My wife works part time for our local school district as a teachers aid. Thank you for your support and consideration....joe mohlman
