More information about Tumaini Childrens Charity (Hope For Children): We rescue vulnerable children in Kenya. We are a grass roots charity that relies solely on volunteers which means every penny goes straight to the needs of the children. Poverty and education are inextricably linked together and as we aim to break the poverty cycle we provide food, education and emotional support to over 500 children at one time.
Last year our school bus completely broke beyond repair which meant over 70 children could no longer get to school each day, it also means that our children cannot attend extracurricular activities which are priceless in may ways because many of our children live 24/7 at the school and to go to a football match or attend a poetry competition enriches and enables a more complete education, and a broader life experience in a place where limitations are so many.
It is our goal to purchase a new school bus so that we can bring our children back into education once more. We are determined! Thank you for helping us to support these precious kids who need our help.
