Adrian's Fight Against Cancer

Friends,

This past month, our family was hit with very tough news; a tumor was found next to my niece’s heart. The biopsy confirmed it was cancer, and she was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

My niece’s name is Adrian, and she is 13 years old. Adrian is not only the youngest member of our family, but she is the sweetest and most affectionate kid you will ever meet. She is brilliant, funny, and a hugger who loves animals, building extremely complicated Legos, and is obsessed with Japanese culture.

Adrian will start treatment this week, and my sister will be by her side taking care of her. She will be in excellent care; my sister is an experienced nurse, and she has been taking care of sick children in the PICU and NICU for the last 20 years.

I have set up this page to help my sister, Sandy, and niece Adrian. As you can imagine, the physician and hospital bills will be adding up for her. But, this is only the beginning of a long journey of treatment and recovery.
