My Sister's Fight for Sight

My suster Melissa Escobio is affected by Retinitis Pigmentosa which is a degerative blinding eye disease. She is a participant in a stem cell trial at the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine.

The reason for this GoFundMe page is to help with the travel & unforeseen expenses that are not covered by the clinical trial. My sister cannot travel alone from Florida to California. The travel is extensive with a total of 14 or more trips. She is more than half way through this journey but the expenses continue until her journey is completed in 2019. The stem trial is covered by the University but all other expenses are not.

Her journey began in March 2018 and we are excited for the HOPE it will bring her. We are reaching out to our family & friends for their support big or small to help with this journey to save my sister's sight.
