Funeral Costs For Young Wife
Hello, my name is Ryan Schoolcraft. My wife, April Marie Daugherty was tragically killed as she was riding her bike home in the early morning hours of January 20, 2017. According to authorities, April was hit by a car near the intersection of Shipyard Blvd and 17th street. The person that hit her, left her at the scene of the accident to die. Her bicycle was completely destroyed, I can't even imagine the damage this person did to her. She was ONLY 1/2 a mile from the hospital, and only 2 miles from home. If only they would have called 911 she may have lived. She later died from her injuries at New Hanover Regional Medical Hospital. I pray that she didn't suffer. I will never give up looking for the person who did this...I have faith that the Wilmington Police Department will find who did this to my beautiful wife .
April was born on April 29, 1992 and was tragically killed on January 20, 2017. I am starting this fund because I need raise money for her funeral. I want to make sure her wishes are met. Both of us are from Virginia and our families are there. I need help financially, as I am still looking for employment and she was our souce of income. We moved around from place to place for a month until we were blessed to have found a stable place to live. Everything was starting to improve for us! We started staying with a loving couple that had an extra bedroom and rented it out to us. April and I started going to church and were welcomed by Port City Community Church.
I am 25 years old and I'm trying to figure everything out. I'm still in shock and expect to see her beautiful smiling face walk through the door every second. I have so many decisions to make as well as questions needing answers to . I feel so overwhelmed! April and I were ONE and that meant no matter what the situation we had each other and everything would be okay. I am feeling lost but I know my Angel will guide me.
I am grateful for every day/moment/second that I was blessed to spend with April. I will cherish those memories forever!
