My Name is Simon Baker and I am living in Ireland County Limerick. I want to keep this non political and stay away from the politics and issues arising from the recent troubles. I do however feel very strongly about raising funds towards a cause whereby Innocent children should not be losing their lives , homes or education as a result of poor decisions by politicians and those in charge.
In 2019 I was lucky enough to have been invited to the Gaza Strip working with an amputee football project , while there I was invited by my friend Mr Ahmed Mosa to visit this school. Mr Mosa is one of the Co founders of the Azhar Palestine Modal Primary School for Special Education and Learning Disabilities. This school is needed more than ever now and it is important that educational and support services for these children are resumed as soon as possible. This School is the only one of its kind in the Gaza Strip
About Azhar Palestine
Azhar Palestine is a non-profit organization, which was established in 2016 according to the provisions of the Palestinian law concerning the non-profit organizations, holding official number 562552463.
Azhar Palestine runs “Azhar Palestine Modal Primary School for Special Education and Learning Disability” which is the only school in the Gaza Strip providing special education services to over 90 children with various learning disabilities.
The organization is located in the Northern Governorate in the Gaza Strip but provides its services to a wide area in Gaza, and middle area as well.
Azhar Palestine also provides comprehensive services for children with disabilities and their caregivers that includes: education, rehabilitation, psychosocial support, sports, awareness raising, and advocacy
1) Continuation of integrated education services to children with disabilities
2) Restoration of the school’s internal infrastructure that was damaged by the
bombing
3) Contribute to providing schools with solar energy to provide the school with
the necessary electrical energy
4) Securing transportation for students to facilitate their access to the school
5) Implementation of psychological support programs for students and their f
families Contribute to the payment salary for the teachers
