Apoio para Formação Universitária

PT:  Olá a todos. O meu nome é João Semedo, sou natural da Covilhã e decidi começar esta campanha de angariação de fundos porque necessito de apoio para conseguir continuar a estudar na minha universidade de sonho. 

Em Fevereiro de 2019 decidi investir nos meus sonhos e fiz provas para a Berklee College of Music. Felizmente, passado três meses, recebi a noticia de que tinha sido aceite e também que a universidade me iria proporcionar uma bolsa de $22.000 anuais que, embora pareça uma fortuna, é apenas metade da propina anual. Apesar de ter tentado vários meios, tive que recorrer em ultima instância a um empréstimo bancário para conseguir estudar pelo menos um ano na Berklee. 

Fruto do meu trabalho, no final do primeiro semestre, já constava no quadro de honra da universidade, e terminei o primeiro ano com uma média geral de 19.75. Esses resultados só aumentaram a minha vontade de continuar a lutar pela formação nesta universidade. Os apoios financeiros são essenciais e então concorri a uma bolsa de estudo da Latin Grammy Cultural Foundation onde consegui um apoio substancial, contudo ainda preciso de 6300€ até Dezembro para poder concluir este ano lectivo. Esta quantia será usada unica e exclusivamente para pagar o montante restante das propinas da universidade. 

Estudar na Berklee é a contretização do meu maior sonho, por ser uma das melhores universidades de jazz do mundo e pela formação de excelência que isso significa. Se tiverem disponibilidade para me ajudar a continuar a minha formação nesta instituição, ficar-vos-ei extremamente grato. Agradeço também qualquer partilha do projecto para poder chegar a um maior número de pessoas. 

EN: Hello everyone. My name is João Semedo, I'm from Covilhã, Portugal and I decided to create this fundraiser in order to keep studying in the college of my dreams. 

In February 2019, I decided to invest in my dreams and I auditioned to Berklee College of Music. Happily, after three months, I received the news that I had been accepted and that I was also being awarded a $22.000 scholarship, which may seem like a fortune but its only half of the annual tuition costs. Even though I tried different methods to be able to attend Berklee, I had to resort to a bank loan that only covered one year of tuition. 

Thanks to my work, at the end of the first semester, I was already on the College Dean's list and I managed to end the academic year with a GPA of 3.95. This results only enhanced my will to keep fighting for this cause. The financial support is very important and so, I applied for a scholarship from the Latin Grammy Cultural Foundation where I was granted substantial support however, I still need 6300€ until December to be able to conclude this academic year. This money will be used exclusively to pay for my tuition. 

Studying at Berklee is my biggest dream due to the fact that it is one of the best jazz colleges in the world which implies an academic program of excellence. If you have the availability to help me keep studying at this college, I'll be forever grateful. I also thank every share that you can give this project so that it can reach a higher number of people.
