APK Charities' Ruck 2 Remember

SUPPORT Military in need by joining the APK Charities Ruck 2 Remember (Tuesday, June 1 - Tuesday, June 8, 2021). All funds raised will go directly to the APK Charities Direct Assistance Program where it will benefit CT Veterans Gold Star Families as well as Military suffering with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), suicidal tendencies and substance abuse.
HEAL military as monies raised directly support those in need through APK's Direct Assistance Program.
HONOR the military by joining hundreds of active and retired military, family and friends from all around the world by virtually rucking for a donation of $50 per person (register at APK Charities). The ruck will begin where CPT Andrew Pedersen-Keel (APK), went to school, at Avon Old Farms School in Avon, CT, then West Point, the United States Military Academy, NY, the 911 Memorial, and ending 380 miles later at Arlington National Cemetery where APK is laid to rest.
R2R honors, while building awareness of, APK Charities, 1st Battalion, and 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne) SFG Fallen Heroes.
Those participating can "ruck" at their convenience. Ruck however many miles you can, wherever you can. Or join Will Reese and ruck ... for details, to register and/or donate visit APK Charities .
The APK Direct Assistance Program (DAP) provides direct financial and other support services to CT Veterans Gold Star Families as well as Military service members and their families who are in need of emergency or hardship assistance.
Under the program, the following are eligible for support:
- Connecticut Veterans, active duty members and their families of all branches of the US armed forces
- Active and former Special Forces soldiers and their families from 3rd Special Forces Group stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina
- Active duty or discharged status of Honorable or General
Their military service must be a major part of the assistance recipient’s life story
APK Charities provides support to those low or moderate income individuals or families requiring:
- Medical emergency relief (e.g. treatment costs, rehabilitation support)
- Emergency assistance relief (e.g. heat, fuel, housing costs)
- Hardship assistance (e.g. mortgage, job loss, major medical costs)
