FIRST & ONLY BACK-TO-SCHOOL CAMPAIGN TO FUND SCHOLARS OF THE ASSOSYASYON OF PEYIZAN-ANBA MÒN (APAM)
SEPTEMBER 2019

It is Back-To-School Season, but one hundred-thirty (130) children in Anba Mòn, Jacmel, Ayiti are wondering if they’ll get to go to school at all.  Eighty-three (83) children missed school in 2018.

I am heading to Ayiti to check on the families, the goats and the farmers that we have been supporting.

I will observe the impact of the goats on the families; I was informed that we have a total of 48 live goats, although, there has been some casualties of 20 plus that died.

Planting and harvesting is on schedule. The farmers have their harvest and they are drying the seeds for the next planting season, as the land must rest before it can be used again for planting. I am learning so much about farming and up keep of the land.

And this is where you-the supporters, family, friends and benefactors come in.
You could help send one child to school when you donate $20, $35 $50 to $$150.
We have a special donor Black Women Blue Print (BWB)  who will match your donation with a special back-to-school MATCH.
On September 7, 2019, I received a donation of $1000.00 toward school fee for the Anba Mòn children. We’ve enrolled thus far 16 kindergarten and elementary school-aged children.
More enrollment to go.
School started on the 9th.
Our goal is for all children of the Assosyasyon of Peyizan Anba Mòn will go back to school in 2019-2020.

**This campaign is to support the children of the Asosyasyon of Peyizan Anba Mòn, (APAM) in Jacmel, Haiti

YOUR CONTRIBUTION MATTERS!
IT WILL MAKE THE DREAM A REALITY!

Why am I creating a Gofundme?
I want to help promote the second ‘GoatFund’ Drive 2018'  to support the peasant farmers of the Asosyasyon  Peyizan Anba Mòn, (APAM) in Jacmel, Haiti by raising enough money to buy:
-Goats ...livestock.
-Seeds for the 2018 planting season.

A Goat in rural Haïti is like having money in the bank; it is a commodity; the goat provides milk, cheese and meat; when the goats reproduce, their offspring will be given to other families,  the gift of giving will be continued.

The farmers Anba Mòn could not produce sufficient crops due to lack of income and inadequate farming tools; productions were low. Purchasing the seeds will alleviate the costly burden and allow them to maintain their livelihood and sustainability in a manner which they are familiar with. They will have food for their families and be able to sell their produce as a source of income.

How Will Your Donation Be Used?

*We will purchase additional goats  for the remaining families (60).  The tradition of passing the gift that keeps giving will be continued by the farmers of Anba Mòn.

* We will provide funds to purchase seeds, corn and beans for the 68 families to start the planting season. Each family will receive 20 pound of corn and 14 pound of beans.

When you donate to Asosyasyon Peyizan Anba Mòn (APAM) you are uplifting and giving hope to those who feel that they have been left behind by the diaspora and forgotten by the government. You are helping a group of vulnerable rural farmers in Haiti to regain their independence, dignity andcontrol of their lives. You are also aiding in the sustainability of an entire community. Your will enhance the lives and the future of the 68 families in Anba Mòn, the success of this program will have a positive impact and effect for generations to come.

We appreciate your donations! All donations are directly invested in the projects for the rural farmers in the community of ANBA MòN .
