Aoife Dolan and Jamie Donoghue House Fire Recovery

I am raising funds on behalf of my two friends Jamie Donoghue and his partner Aoife Dolan who’s home was tragically burned on 18th March.

Aoife and Jamie set across their path of buying a mobile home in March 2021 in the hopes of saving for a house in a few years in Kilconnell, Co. Galway. Being both 22 years of age they showed great determination and maturity to build a future together at such a young age.

Sadly on the 18th March at 11pm their mobile home took a light with both of them inside. Aoife and Jamie tried hopelessly to save their home and quench the flame but sadly it was too late and they knew they needed to evacuate immediately. They grabbed their two dogs and each other and stood at the road watching their home go up in flames in front of their very eyes. The latter has left them devastated. All their family and friends are grateful that they got out in time or we would have lost the lives of two wonderful people.

I am raising funds to help them re build their life and future again and to compensate for all they have lost and a chance to rebuild a future and a new home for them and their dogs.

Aoife and Jamie have completed a valuation of all that has been lost and that has came to €45,000. They did not have insurance as they were unable to get it.

This money will be used to pay:

1. Emergency services fee, 2 fire brigades multiple fireman and guards were at the scene

2. Vodafone their brodband provider have billed them €2,000 to cancel their WIFI contract!!

3. Other cancellation fees

4. All the belongings that they lost and can’t be recovered

5. They need to pay for their mobile home to be dismantled and taken away

6. A chance to help them find a new home

7. All electronic devices that cannot be recovered
