The Road to Recovery
Donation protected
Hello everyone. My cousin Matthew was in a motorcycle accident that will require multiple surgeries and grueling physical therapy in the weeks to come. I am starting this gofundme account on his mom's (my aunt's) behalf in order to help him with his mounting medical bills.
While riding his motorcycle home last week, he violently crashed within a roundabout. Because of the crash, he sustained three complex fractures in his leg, a dislocated patella and a fractured wrist. After being transported to a trauma facility, he received emergency surgery and had a titanium immobilizing rod inserted in his femur, a cast for his entire leg, foot, and wrist, and special surgery for one fracture in his leg deemed so rare, that it required an orthopedic specialist to evaluate and treat the fracture. This is the kind of accident that is debilitating financially, physically, mentally and spiritually.
The average five-day stay for an ER visit is about $10,000. The estimated costs for Matthew's multiple surgeries, ICU care, trauma care, emergency service, and physical therapy is estimated to be in the high five to low six-figures. To help offset the costs of some of his medical bills, we're asking for monetary donations. No donation is too big or too small. The suggested donation is $10, but whatever you can give will be greatly appreciated.
Additionally, we are also asking that you share this campaign within your social networks so we can increase our chances of helping Matthew pay his medical bills. Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, or even texting or emailing the link to this fundraiser will be a huge help. If you know Matt personally, please leave a note and let him know how much you care about him, I know he will appreciate it. On behalf of Matthew and our family, we thank you and deeply appreciate any support that you can provide.
