Always wanted to be a big kid, now i've got it ALL
Donation protected
How I chased the sun, working from state to state pursuing my childhood dreams of seeing the world. I've always been "fun", but a mature refined kind of fun. A polished big kid. This status was recently confirmed when I found out I was diagnosed with a PeDiAtRiC cancer; Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL).
Treatment is split amongst four phases, lasting 2.5-3 years; will be initiating phase two on 1/21.
The goal is CURE through chemo(drugs) alone;
no radiation, no transplant, no relapse.
[X] Phase 1: (40 days) bombardment by variety IV chemotherapy drugs to destroy aggresively replicating cancer cells and induce an early remission (99.99%).
[O] Phase 2: (6mo-1yr) high-dose, higher-frequency, multidrug IV chemotherapy to target stray cells (0.01%).
[ ] Phase 3: (1yr-2yr) low-dose, lesser- frequency, multidrug IV chemotherapy.
[ ] Phase 4: (1yr-2yr) low-dose chemotherapy tablets for maintenance.

The drugs will affect every part of me.
My thinking will change; I'll get fat where I don’t want it, lose muscle where I barely packed it on.
Hair? Ha. Physically you'll barely recognize me. Thankfully I have personality as back up.
But the scariest part is that I will never be myself again. I will lose myself completely only to find myself again. 28 was supposed to be a secure golden year for me-- what a waste of time, I could be doing so much more !!
Atleast Leukemia's ribbon is Red.
My name is Anuj Patel, I am from Union City, NJ. I will be using your donation funds to help pay for any medical bills and personal comfort care items.
