Anthony’s Recovery Funds

Donation protected
Hi everyone, we are trying to raise funds for my cousins medical expenses.

Here’s his story and how we got to this point today:
What should have been a day of great relief, was a day that no one expected to get a heartbreaking call. On May 14th, Anthony’s grandfather asked him to help take some old dirty gas out of a side by side and to change the filter. He had an old water pump to pump the old gas out. Well when he put the pump on the gas started pumping out but there was a hole in the hose and it started spilling gas on the ground all around Anthony and some got on his arms and hands. He turned the pump off and tried to fix the hose. His girlfriend was standing next to him so he told her to back up away from all the gas. He turned the pump on and it exploded. He took off running but he kept slipping in the gas on the ground. He grabbed a pipe that was holding the carport up and pulled himself out the gas stood up and took off running to the grass and stop drop rolled. His grandpa was sitting in a chair not far and he thankfully did not get hurt. Anthony said when he was running back to the house after getting the fire out he was looking for his grandfather to make sure he was ok. This child is so loving and caring even when he’s burning he’s thinking of others. His grandfather was very lucky and so was his beautiful sweet girlfriend. Thankfully, they are both fine. His quick thinking of making Adrianne move away saved her.

After the accident, Anthony was air-lifted to Lourdes in Lafayette where he has been receiving the best care ever since. Our boy is definitely a true fighter!

On May 21st, he would have graduated from high school, but due to his extensive wounds, he was not able to attend. It is very hard to see your family in these situations. Anthony has worked so hard to be where he is today and he was so happy to say that he did it. Well you know what? Even if he could not walk he still did it! Anthony is head strong, determined, kind and caring. He loves to be outside in any way he can wether it’s working or relaxing by hunting and fishing. God was definitely with him the day of the accident and has been with him ever since.

We appreciate any amount that can be donated because it is not about the amount of the donation, but what the donation is going to be used for. Thank you all.
