Answers for Val

This is one of the hardest things our family has had to endure.  On April 4th my husband’s twin sister Val Lombardo was found dead under the 395 bridge in Bangor at the young age of 42.  Although she was alone at the time of her death (unattended) the Medical Examiner has chosen not to do an autopsy. They also want us to be ok with what they call a “found time” for her date and time of death. Found time is when the body was found not the actual day.  Just as good as flipping a coin! The medical examiner believed it was ok to just look her over, take a few pictures and some urine and determine that because she was a homeless addict then it must be one of those two reasons. Forget the fact that her 43 year old brother passed away 2  years ago to heart disease and she was just told at the ER a month prior that she had an infection in her heart. While at it lets forget the fact that a male officer had just had to use excessive force on all 90 pounds of her for having an open container in public.  We need answers and after speaking with the medical examiner they just want us to accept their findings. Val deserves a full investigation! So there is a medical examiner on the coast who is willing to do an autopsy for us for $6750 and we truly believe Val like every human deserves to have someone working to find why her life was cut short! We appreciate you taking the time to read this and hope you share it as well. Help us get answers and justice for Val a truly amazing sister, aunt and friend! <3
