Thankfully my great- grandmother's piano will be able to be restored, along with my aunt's dining table, buffet and china cabinet. Hanging on to small things like that helps! All of the love, support and assistance from friends and family has also helped. All the people who helped with the cleanup and demo work have left me humbled and eternally grateful to know such amazing people.
Now comes the painful, painstaking and very expensive task of restoring and recovering. Unfortunately, like most of Texas, I do not have flood insurance. I am hoping FEMA kicks in more than I am hearing they will, but, in the meantime, I need to rebuild my home for my son and myself. I have had so many people reach out and ask what they can do for me and what I need most right now is funding. Those of you who know me well know it is not like me to ask, I hate to ask, in fact. But in reality, this will cost me tens of thousands when all is said and done. So I am asking for contributions to help replace the items I lost. Any help is appreciated and will be put to good use in rebuilding my home. If you are unable to donate, I understand. If you can, thank you so much!
Much love folks!
