Annette’s cancer treatment

Over 6 years ago, Annette was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, and since hearing the news has silently fought the disease. She received intensive surgery followed by years of chemo, rarely having a break.
In recent weeks, the chemo has not been as effective as normal and her cancer blood counts has been rising. Her Oncologist has suggested that she try a drug called Avastin. Although the drug will not cure the cancer, it will do a lot of the battling for her, keeping the growth at bay and some new hope and reassurance for Annette.
The downside is that each dose costs $ 5,819. Annette will have to receive at least 5 doses at the total cost of $27,000 which is not currently available on the PBS. The good news is that ongoing doses will be free.
Annette is a proud Queenslander, born in Springsure to a family of cattle and sheep graziers.
She is a wonderful sister and cousin and a very loving Aunt. Annette has battled with this cancer on her own for years and not asked for anything, but has recognised and accepted that she needs a helping hand.
Any donation, no matter how small will help her to get this treatment. Her Oncologist wants to start the first dose on the 23rd of August.
