Annette's Battle With Breast Cancer

February 2016 was a very exciting and happy time.  Annette and I had just bought a house that is perfect for our blended family.  The joy was short lived as later that month she was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer. 

Since her diagnosis she has had 6 surgeries including a radical double mastectomy, 33 rounds of radiation and countless chemotherapy sessions which continue.  During much of this time she not only continued to work, she made up her lost time because of doctors’ visits and chemo to help preserve her sick and vacation time.  Annette has been such an inspirational warrior through all of this.  Everyone around her is amazed at her positive attitude while going through the battle of her life.  


Unfortunately, she has been unable to work since June and has exhausted all her sick and vacation days.  Creating this account is not something that we did without careful consideration.  We feel truly blessed to be surrounded by such wonderfully supportive family and friends. We are proud hard-working people but one thing that this battle has taught us is that we must be willing to accept help when its offered and ask for help when it is needed.

We do not know when or if Annette will be going back to work.  To date we have been able to stay on top of expenses but we are concerned about getting by on just one income.  We are going to have to use our PPO option to get out of network treatments which we are praying will help stop the cancer. She has lost so much weight due to the chemo and then because of the mastectomy none of her clothes fit.  Even though we have insurance the travel costs, co-pay etc. has really started to take its toll and we are asking for help.  More than anything we are asking for your prayers to cure this and all cancer.  If you are able to financially support this cause we would be so grateful.
