The Life Changing Drive

Donation protected
On November 30, 2017, our mother Annette Kimmons was driving through Oak Brook, IL, while nearby a red pick-up truck had been reported driving erratically at a high rate of speed. At 1:30 PM the driver of that red pick-up truck changed the lives of three innocent people forever.

**The tan car under the red truck is our mother's**

Allegedly, the driver of the pick-up went into Diabetic shock right before this accident. Sadly, one person lost his life in this horrible accident, and our mother is left with multiple spinal fractures, a broken neck, broken back, broken ribs, and a lacerated liver. Within 48 hours of the accident Annette has spent over 11 hours in emergency surgery and has had 18 screws placed throughout her neck, back and rods inserted in her spine. This level of trauma will require extensive recovery and physical therapy.

For the past 32 years Annette has worked as a beautician and was the manager of her aging mother's beauty salon. As the primary source of income for our 12 year-old sister Kara her ability to provide for her young daughter is diminished for the foreseeable future.

At this time of year our family home has always been the center of family gatherings because of Annette's warmth, acceptance, and general loving nature. Our mother was the energy and lifeline that brought our family together and made us stronger.

Instead of planning our family Christmas, our mother is in the ICU in a medically induced coma. She has always been there for us and now we need help to be there for her.

Besides the incredible medical bills that will be incurred, we need to ensure that our sister Kara will be cared for. Normaly in times like this we would rely on our family's strength to get by, but this time strenth alone isn't enough.

Money raised from this campaign will be used for transportation to and from the hospital daily, to purchase a medical bed that will be needed once she returns home, to cover monthly bills (mortgage and utilities), the needs of her 12 year old daughter, and any maintenance supplies needed around the house and when she returns home.

She has a long road to recovery ahead of her from this devastating crash and we thank each of you in advance for all of your support. We will share major updates to her condition as they become available.  Please continue to pray and we know you all are rooting for her just as we are!

We thank you with love, life, and kindness
