Annemarie's Medical Condition

For the last two and a half years, my mother has been busting her butt working two jobs to support my brother and myself.  We've been struggling for as long as I can remember, but we always found a way to get by.  On September 25th, my mother was admitted to the hospital after going to the emergency room for chronic, severe pain in her neck.  After tests were run and X-rays were taken, she was informed that neurosurgeons were on their way to talk to her about the next steps.

That night, she found out that she would be going into emergency surgery within the next day or so.  The severe pain she had been experiencing in her neck turned out to be two herniated discs.  The neurosurgeons operated for five hours, later telling her that the nerve in her neck was so damaged that it had turned red.  He had never seen anything like it.  If she didn't go to the ER that night - if she had waited any longer - there was an extremely high chance of developing paralysis in her right arm.

My mother endured that pain everyday for years because she knew there was no other way to put food on the table or a roof over the heads of her two children.  She stuck it out, like a trooper, to support us.  

Now it's time for us to be there for her, but we can't do it alone.  She saw the neurosurgeon on October 9th, and he informed her that she will be out of work until at least November 27th, 2017.  She has already been out of work for two weeks and we are struggling now more than ever.

My mom, brother, and I would appreciate any help you are willing to give to us.  We are doing all we can, but we need the help of our amazing family and friends to help with the cost of these bills. 

Unfortunately, even working two jobs all these years, she is unable to collect disability because the Newark archdiocese (which is her main source of income) does not pay into state or private disability. 

I hope you can find it in your hearts to help us out; she has done so much for us and it kills me knowing I'm doing everything I can to help and it just isn't enough. I do not make enough money myself to support us until my mom can go back to work at the end of November.
