Ann Wigmore Hurricane Relief Fund

Tax deductible
Dear Friends, your outpouring of generosity and support has been inspiring and has brought us almost one-third of the way to our goal of $120,000. We are grateful.

Your contributions have helped us to begin cleaning and rebuilding our facilities, greenhouses, and gardens, and also provide some support for our dedicated staff as they rebuild their lives. With your generous donations, we look forward to making all needed repairs and re-opening in time for our January programs.

The Chinese word for “crisis” is made from two characters meaning “danger” and “opportunity.” We have survived the danger. Now we will grasp the opportunity. You can help us become a greener and more self-sufficient facility. We are currently investigating solar panels, additional generators and expanding our organic farming. We have already installed hurricane-proof windows, high-efficiency air conditioners and fans, and new screening.

We remain dedicated to keeping our students’ experience here safe and healthy. We will open only when we can be certain of the purity and quality of our water. We will install additional generators to ensure the comfort of our students.

We invite you to join our rebuilding effort by making a donation today. Consider making a first-time or additional contribution to our Hurricane Relief Fund. Please give as generously as possible. No gift is too large or too small.

There is still much work to be done, both immediately and in the coming months.  Our two greenhouses, our beautiful vegetable gardens, and our crucial compost need to be rebuilt. We have lost our entire inventory of nuts and seeds. We need to repaint and refurbish.

We are waiting, along with the rest of Puerto Rico, for reliable electricity, water, and all other essential services to be restored. In our neighborhood, many trees and all electrical poles and wires are down but improvements are happening every day.

Our founder, Ann Wigmore, was a shining example of resiliency. Numerous times over the course of her life she lost everything. After tragedy or great loss, Dr. Ann always picked herself up and continued. She not only survived but also grew, re-invented and thrived. Our beloved institute in Puerto Rico was founded after she lost Hippocrates Health Institute in Boston. Her mission to bring health and well-being to the world through the Living Food Lifestyle® and her indomitable spirit are our guiding lights. Our institute is resilient just like Dr. Ann.

Please donate as generously as you can and help us meet our goal. A gift of any size will make a difference. All donations are tax deductible.

You can also reach us by email at [email redacted] and by posting to our Facebook page. Visit our website www.annwigmore.org and join our email list.

We are always happy to hear from you.
