Music & Performing Arts Fund - Anjel Khachikian

Anjel Khachikian was many things to many people, but if there was one thing everyone could agree on, it was that she was generous and kind. Anjel loved people and anyone who met her was immediately infected with a feeling of warmth. Those attributes made creating and running a successful catering company easy for her. What most people probably did not know is how extremely talented she was in musical and performing arts. So much so that at a very young age she began choreographing dance routines. She also had an incredible singing voice. In fact, she was so talented that as adolescent she was asked to be a regular performing guest on a children’s television and radio show. Her passion for the performing arts did not end as a child. She developed her skills such that she was accepted into the The Conservatoire de Paris, one of the oldest and famed performing arts schools in the world. Unfortunately though, lacking the resources she was unable to attend. Disappointed, but still determined to make her dream a reality, Anjel made a promise to herself that she would own a dance studio of her own and provide free tuition to the children of any family who didn’t have the means to allow them to attend. However, her dream had to be put on hold as she suffered a stroke in 2018 from which she would never recover, but that does not mean her dream cannot live on. So, in honor of my mother, I have already applied for a 501(c) nonprofit organization in her name so that we may collect and distribute scholarship funds for the purpose of making the dreams of children of modest means who share my mother’s passion for music and the arts a reality. Please join me by honoring my mother with memorial contributions to the Anjel Khachikian Performing & Musical Art Scholarship in lieu of flowers or similar gifts.
