Aniyia Moss's Medical Bills from Lincoln Protest

On the Saturday night protests against police brutality in Lincoln, Nebraska, Aniyia Moss, a University of Nebraska-Lincoln student,  was ran over by a green car as the police began to tear gas and throw rubber bullets at protestors. The person in the vehicle got out, looked at Aniyia on the ground screaming, and drove away. While she lay in the streets outside of the courthouse LPD decided to stay and protect a building instead of carry her to safety. She was left in the street with a broken ankle, effectively immobilizing her. While she was in the hospital her sorority sisters and fraternity brothers called the police and waited until 4 am before deducing they would not be coming and taking a statement. 

The next day, after immense support from the community to find the car or any identifying factors Aniyia had enough information to tell the police who was her attacker was. Instead of a being charged with a felony hit and run the driver got a ticket because "she did not know Aniyia was hurt" Aniyia is left with the medical bills, the inability to work against the pandemic, impending costs to attend the University in the fall, decreased mobility, and the trauma of being run over while being tear gassed. She is asking for help because the community is the only people who have been a support system in this instance.
