ANGIE AND ERICS HOUSE FIRE

PLEASE READ – as this concerns all of us as part of the CWR family.

This is not going to be one of our regular posts. Unfortunately, we have some difficult news to share with you all. A string of unexpected events took place today that have put some of our team members in crisis, and we need your help. A beloved member of the CWR family, Angie, has suffered a horrible loss this evening, leaving her and her family with nothing after a devastating fire destroyed her home, taking the 3 beloved lives of her pets inside with it. Within a few short hours just this morning, her family’s life has completely stopped dead in its tracks. Her home is gone, her belongings are gone, her pets are gone. What would you do if you only had the clothes on your back to start over a new life right now? No home to return to this evening after a long day to relax and lay your head on your pillow? I don’t know about you but I can’t possibly even fathom the devastation she is experiencing right now as we all carry on life as normal.

That’s the very thing. In such a crucial time like this we cannot go on like everything is normal. In times like these we need to take pause and reach out in service to those who need it the most, especially when it is our own family, friend, sister, neighbor, and coworker. Though the animal cases we see every day make it hard to divert attention and emotion elsewhere, we all love and care deeply for Angie, even when we don’t show it. She has been a stronghold for this organization for the past two years, a rock for the CWR family that we constantly lean on and rely on for her optimism, generosity, and understanding. Now it’s our turn to show compassion to her.

We need your help to come together to support her in this hard time both physically and emotionally, but arguably the most critical, financially. We are asking for any monetary contribution possible to be made to our fundraiser for recovery and relief on her behalf. Everything collected will go directly to helping Angie and her family heal and rebuild their lives following this tragedy. Without disclosing too much personal information, there are also medical bills to be paid as a direct result of the fire.

We are asking that you please consider donating to this fund, for Angie and her family’s sake, but also for the sake of the CWR family as a whole, including all of you. This event has affected all of us, and we will not carry on as normal if one of us is left behind. As a champion for the rescue and its cause, Angie has been there for every single one of us at our lowest. This is our time now to be there for her. Please visit our Facebook page for the fundraiser link and feel free to share our collection efforts with family and friends. We have the opportunity to change the lives of animals every day, but today, we have the responsibility to change the lives of our own. Join us in lifting the burden of these trying times off of her shoulders. We have survived hardships before, and together, we will do it again.

We love you Angie.
