( Angelika's Angels ) Beat Leukemia

Donation protected

This is Angelika Maletto.

On Friday, October 9th, Angelika was rushed to the hospital from school for breathing problems;   shortly after arriving at the hospital she was life-flighted to UPMC, the children’s hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.

Angelika was diagnosed with a rare form Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia, known as T- CELL.  The cancer caused her thymus (an organ in front of the windpipe) to enlarge, causing her breathing issues. This has complicated her treatment, as doctors are unable to place her "treatment port" in the normal location.  Instead they have to begin treatment through the arm, and later; after the swelling, the masses and the fluid around her lungs and heart cavity subside, she will have to undergo another procedure to place the "treatment port" in the appropriate location for treatment.  Angelika's treatment includes 28 days of rigorous chemotherapy, at UPMC, followed by a 2 year treatment plan, including weekly trips to UPMC for chemotherapy.

Angelika is asking you to become one of "Angelika's Angels" to help support her and her family through this tragic time.  Due to the rare form of Leukemia and rigorous treatment,  her mom Nicole Maletto has had to leave work causing financial stress.  We are seeking, out of the goodness of your heart, donations of any size to help with travel, care, and other financial needs of Angelika and her family.

To help validate my relationship with Angelika Maletto, I have also included a family picuture of Angelika Maletto, Nicole Maletto, Adam Nortum (the little boy) and myself who is setting this up, James Watson. Thank you all for the donations and help
