My dear friend, Angela Nelson Kalo, is the epitomity of the quote above! Not only has she been there for me during my darkest hours, but countless others as well... expecting nothing in return. Angela tirelessly volunteers her time for Carolina Corgi Rescue, Little Pink Houses of Hope, Hope for Alamance County Needs, GSRC Board, and FOMA food drives to name a few. This is in addition to working, and raising two exceptional children as a single mother.
Yesterday, while making her way to what she thought would be an evening of boating, turned into a visit to the emergency room. Not five feet from her car, she fell into a very deep hole injuring herself. Angela stated that she sprained her kneecap (previously broken), her right ankle, and twisted and lightly sprained the left one. She is in a lot of pain as a result, and unable to get around.
Angela works for Ararat Import Export, which requires her to be on her feet to do her job. With her current medical condition, she is obviously unable to work, and will be out for at least the next six weeks. Her current insurance deductible is $5,000.00.
As you can see, with no income and such a high insurance deductible, this is going to be a very difficult time for Angela and her two children. Not just physically and emotionally, but financially as well. Any amount you feel led to give would be greatly appreciated!!
Even if you give just a few dollars, everyone working together collectively can make a huge difference! Please consider helping this wonderful family!
