Wu Strong
Donation protected
A month before the start of our senior year at Bella Vista High School in Fair Oaks, CA , my friend Andy Wu was in a terrible diving accident at Folsom Lake. He broke his C5 vertebra and is now a quadriplegic confined to a wheel chair. Andy is a straight A student and before his accident, he was elected Student Body Co-President at Bella Vista, ran on the cross country and track teams and was a very active member in the community. This season will be the first time in almost 6 years that I will not be running with one of my best friends.
In 2013 and 2014, Andy and others on the Bella Vista track team ran at the Arcadia Invitational Track Meet in Arcadia, CA , one of the biggest high school meets in the country and which brings in athletes from all over the world. It was a blast to run with the big boys and the two day meet was one of the highlights of our season. Since Andy cannot compete this year, I want to honor him by raising money so we can bring Andy and his family down to Arcadia as our guests and enjoy the meet again this Spring. It would mean a lot to Andy and the Bella Vista athletes who will be competing. If you are able to help, any donation will be appreciated. Any donations above our goal of $1,000 will go directly to the Wu family to help with Andy's recovery. And remember that we are always-WU STRONG!
