Andy Landers Replacement Guitar

UPDATE: Feel like I hit a Semi.

I have had 4 acoustic guitars for over 20 years. My 69 Guild I call Dylan. My Vintage Larrivee I call Wilcox. My Bourgeois I call Guthrie. All three of those good fellers have since died in the last two years of heavy touring and use... and they were amazing, they were my tool of the trade, closer to the creation of every single song and melody than anyone else. So I have been down to 1 guitar for over 9 months now because they aren’t cheap and you need to find the right one, and food on the table seemed to be a bit more of a priority being that I have 6 teenagers that need to eat and they keep insisting on calling me Dad. So would a sad heart I share with you pictures of my Signature Series Limited Edition Steven Curtis Chapman Tobacco Sunburst Taylor that was my passenger in the Honda Civic (we called the silver stink pickle) yesterday when I decided to French kiss the backside of a Semi. Please understand, his neck being broken, and face cracked in 4 different places is better than mine, but it’s a tad sad. Had a friend say “If those guitars could talk the stories they could tell would be amazing.” I said “They did talk and they did tell the stories. They gave me everything they had every single night.” They were the conduit to what my heart wanted to say.

So your reading this, “well Andy if all your guitars are buried in your backyard, what are you going to do?”

Glad you all asked... I’m going to do 2 things...
1. take up the Piccolo. It’s small, durable, and sounds great with Irish Music.
2. I’m going to purchase a Tank so that if I do hit a Semi, my Piccolo named Abigail will be just fine.

Love you all.

I will be doing a special concert tomorrow night called “Songs and Stories” with my good friend Pastor Jon Cobler at Living Water Church in Olympia. I will be selling the NEW record for those who don’t have it yet. Come on out, and I’ll give you a super light hug, because I’m a tad beat up.

Blessed beyond measure.
