Andrew Gurza Honored For Queerty Pride 50
Donation protected
Hi all,
I am SO EXCITED to let you know that I have been chosen as part of Queerty's Pride 50 honorees of 2019 for my work as a disabled, queer advocate shining a big bright light on sexuality and disability through my writing, my podcasts and my activism! Wow, I am absolutely gobsmacked and honored to be included. As part of this, there is a gala that I have been invited to in New York City on June 19, 2019! I will be an honoree alongside people like Elton John, Don Lemon, Ryan O'Connell and Ellen Page and....me! Woah, what???!
That's where you come in. To travel to New York is an expensive undertaking for a disabled person; booking accessible flights, hiring a Personal Care attendant and finding accessible accommodations is all a lot for me, as I live on limited income. So, I am asking for your help to make this happen for me. Anything you can donate so that I can be in the room and recognized as a queer, disabled person amongst all the amazing honorees would mean the world. I need the funds in the next few weeks so that I can start booking travel.
Being able to attend would mean that disabled queer people will have more recognition in queer spaces than ever before!
Thanks so much,
