Andrew's New Van

We would like to help Andrew's family raise money for an accessible van. In Vermont, there is no help for families of kids with special needs. They have searched for grants and aid to help them but unfortunately  have not had any luck. Andrew was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) when he was 15 months old. DMD is a progressive muscle wasting disorder that will affect every muscle in his body. Currently, Andrew is 13 years old and is declining in strength. They recently found out that his heart and respiratory muscles are now being affected.  Right now Andrew is lifted in their vehicle, which is a lot of wear and tear on him and his family.  They use his push stroller for outings but with Andrew getting older, it would be nice if he could have some independence and bring his wheelchair with him.
