Andrew Carrell

Our bass slapping, bass fishing brother, Andrew “Andy” Carrell needs our help. As some of you may or may not know, Andy was diagnosed with stage 4 neck cancer in 2020 and went through 6 rounds of chemo. Being the badass Andy is, he fought hard through that and was in remission for the last several years. Unfortunately, even with routine scans and a clean bill of health each time, the cancer has come back very aggressive and rapidly. Andy will be starting his first round of chemo Monday April 22 and will be unable to work, tour with his band making music like he loves, or FISH for the foreseeable future! Luckily, Andy has his partner Valerie, his family, his band mates, and is obviously loved and known by everyone, and is going to fight this with everything he’s got, but he’s going to need our support. We are setting a goal that we know we can reach and are hoping to raise as much as possible to help him through the next year of treatments and being unable to work. A fundraising concert is also in the works and details will be announced at a later date. Right now the goal is to get some immediate financial relief through this gofundme to help ease some of the financial burden on Andy and Valerie. Thank you, everyone. Even though I have regular screenings, this time it snuck up on me and very aggressively took over. I should have died two weeks ago but I got lucky and was gifted some more time. I *don’t * want you to have to deal with the same adversity I’m dealing with."
