My name is Paola Creixell. My husband Arturo and I are close friends of Sofia and Andres Van Der Dys. We live in Houston and we have known them 18 yrs.
Sofia, Andres and their two children (Tristan and Alexia) are devastated by the recent flooding brought on by Hurricane Harvey. Their neihgborhood and their house flooded, taking on 2 feet of water. The family was evacuated and are still waiting for the water to recede. The water in their neighborhood is expected to remain standing for the next two weeks.
As many Houstonians who did NOT live in a flood zone, Sofia and Andres do not have flood insurance.
All of the funds raised through this campaing will go directly to Sofia and Andres. The funds will help repair their home, walls, carpet and furniture.
