Andre’s Road Towards A Kidney Transplant

Hey you guys, for those that don’t know our story. Andre was diagnosed with a kidney disease called Ideopathic Membranous Nephritis, it’s when you spill protein in your urine. He was diagnosed with this disease back in 2010 when we first started dating. We had no clue what we were up against, but I knew I was planning to be by his side no matter what. He was informed by his nephrologist a year ago that he is in remission as of 2019.  Praise God for the great news. A month ago we received news that he needs to get setup to get a fistula in his arm, just in case if his kidney function goes lower than 25% due to the Covid cases going up. He is scheduled for February 1 to have the surgery done. He will be out of work for roughly two months to heal. As we all know short term disability takes time to kick in. Then our next step will be to find a donor that is a great match for the transplant. But of course we are stepping out on faith and praying that everything will work itself out.
