Andre Lancaster's Memorial Campaign
Donation protected
Our beloved Andre Alexander Lancaster (1979-2018) has begun his next journey. On November 16th, we will gather to remember and honor his life and be in the presence of others whose lives he touched.
We need the support of our community to make this gathering happen. The memorial will cost $4,658. We hope to raise an additional $3,500, so that we can offer a gift to his family and a small artist grant or scholarship to an artist who embodies Andre's legacy, in Andre’s name.
"I know these stories will change the world, and change the people who are changing the world," Andre told the Daily News in 2009, in reference to Freedom Train Productions, the groundbreaking Black queer theatre company that Andre founded and directed.
We welcome all of those whose lives were changed by Andre's stories, vision, kindness and love to join us:
