Anacortes Regeneration Project "Say Their Names"

Tax deductible
"Say Their Names"…the Anacortes (Washington) Regeneration Project is an artist driven response to the phenomenon of mass shootings in America.   Over thirty Skagit Valley artists have created over 970 individual ceramic rocks, each displaying the name, event, date and age of an individual killed in 84 mass shootings in America.  Included in those names are 57 children killed since the beginning of 2019, and 40 Washington State first responders.

The rocks will be incorporated into a Cairn measuring approximately 9’ tall  that will be exhibited at the Anacortes Arts Festival Arts at the Port fine art show opening on July 27, running through August 4.  Also included in the installation is a related video.

This is a self funded project.  Artist time and materials have been donated.   It is the hope that with funds raised, the installation will be available to travel to other locations.  Your support would be appreciated.  100% of funds raised will directly support the project.

As the artists vision how this project carries on after the initial installation, there is still a need for more donated weapons.  If you have a gun that you would like to donate, please contact us at [email redacted].

Sponsor a Rock:  A donation of $50 or more sponsors one of the names on a rock.  Your generosity will be acknowledged on our website and at the installation site.   If you choose to make your $50+ donation anonymous on gofundme or would like to dedicate it to someone other than yourself, please email us after you make the donation so that we have the accurate information to include in our acknowledgements.

Payments will be made through the Anacortes Community Health Council, a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit that has served Anacortes since 1994 and is proud to be the fiscal agent for this effort. (All donations are fully tax deductible.)
