Ana's Cancer Recovery Fund

In  March 1994  our sister Ana Cisneros accepted a job offer on the beautiful island of St. Croix, and found the love  of her life, Richard Ortiz .

Ana & Richard have enjoyed a wonderful island life full of love and laughter together for the last 23 years . Ana  has been a popular waitress at South Shore Cafe, Rum Runners, and The Bombay Club . Also a self taught baker,  Ana's amazing desserts are featured at  Rum Runners and The Bombay Club. For the past six years Ana has also been selling and shipping her famous St. Croix Rum Cakes around the world. 

Last year Ana began having  stomach issues.  She attributed much of it to the many stressful months without power following the September hurricanes.   When she continued feeling poorly this year she sought medical attention. During a colonoscopy on May 19th a tumor was discovered.  Ana was hospitalized the next day and surgery was attempted to remove the tumor. That was not possible. 

Ana has been diagnosed with stage 2  Colorectal Carcinoma .  She will require extensive treatment with a combination of surgery, chemotherapy and radiation .

We are hoping to assist Ana and Richard to offset the costs of medical expenses, travel to treatments as well as lost income so they can concentrate on Ana’s healing and full  recovery.
