Ana R Quintana - Loving Family, Friend & Neighbor

On Friday, November 10, 2023, beloved widowed wife, mother and grandmother Ana Rosa Quintana passed away at age seventy-one. Ana Rosa was born in Jalisco, Mexico to Sebastian Gonzalez and Maria Carmen Castellanos as one of eight total children. Four boys and four girls equally, Ana Rosa was the fifth oldest sibling and the second oldest of the girls. Growing up poor in the city of Tijuana, she worked tirelessly to keep her siblings alive and healthy after her own mother passed away when they were young children. After a rough upbringing, her father would ultimately have the family legally immigrate to the United States.

Ana Rosa eventually met her wonderful husband Benny Antonio Quintana, with whom she had three children -- 1 girl and 2 boys, respectively. Also, similarly and by coincidence, Benny too was one of eight total children, four boys and four girls equally, making their extended family quite large. Ana Rosa lived for her family... This is true, beginning from her youngest age overseeing her siblings until her latest days when she had children of her own. She would even babysit your family's kids if needed -- she would do this for many family members, neighbors, and friendly community acquaintances who would struggle to find daycare. Benny and Ana Rosa were together for 50 outstanding years, as of his passing last November 2022, nearly one year before her own passing.

Ana Rosa grew up Catholic, but in the 80's her family would begin attending the Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall. In part through her reading and studies here, as well as ingesting television, music, and social conversation, she learned English as her second language. She was an avid listener of records and 8-tracks, soaking up the lyrics and singing them aloud in the house, the byproduct of which was introducing her children to a little music history. Ana Rosa would eventually use her increased reading skill to study repeatedly for her US Citizenship test -- she was sworn in on April 2, 1999, celebrating one of her proudest moments.

Ana was also a skilled utilitarian, who housed a wealth of wisdom, having applied her craft at gardening and landscaping, cooking and baking, and home maintenance to the fortification of her household. She wholeheartedly loved her gardens and the vista of her home, wherein she was known by everyone for keeping its appearance swept, painted, updated, clean and tidy. Her abundance of care, love and pride for everything and everone will be sorely missed. Ana Rosa has joined her beloved husband Benny in heaven now. She is survived by her children and grandchildren.

The funeral service for Ana Rosa Quintana will be held at Draper Mortuary in Ontario, CA. Burial service will be held at Oakdale Cemetary in Glendora, CA. While not necessary, donations may also be sent to her family directly, via Doris, Donald or Jimmy who can provide further guidance upon request.
