Ana Lopez Memorial Bench

We are raising money to purchase a commemorative bench in memory of Ana Lopez. Ana Lopez committed 30 years to Pima County Natural Resources Parks and Recreation working in various capacities. She introduced hundreds of kids and community members to numerous programs, sports, art, girl scouts, and more! If there was a community event happening, you know Ana was most likely involved! Ana loved our community, loved the children, and did anything and everything to help others. This year marks the 5 year anniversary of her passing, and we have been approved by Pima County to place the bench at the Ajo Community Center Annex located at 421 Esperanza Avenue (old kindergarten) in Ajo, AZ. This is where the PCNRPR ceramics and stained glass classes are held and it was one of Ana's favorite places to relax and be creative. Our goal is to have the money raised and bench purchased in time to have a dedication ceremony during Ajo's Red and White Weekend. If all works out, the date will be Friday October 19th, 2018 at 1:00 pm. Patti Bush will gladly take cash or check and place you on the list of donors and give you a receipt. Her hours are Monday through Thursday from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and 1:00pm to 4:00 pm. Fridays from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. You can also mail a check to Patti, payable to Patti Bush (on the memo place Ana's Bench). If Ana was in your life, even for a brief moment or made an impact on you in any way, please consider donating to this wonderful cause. *Any additional funds raised will go to an organization/program in Ajo, AZ that Ana's surviving family decides.
