Help 13yr old Chess Master to Worlds
Donation protected
Hello! I am Bryce Tiglon, an eighth grader attending Redmond Middle School in Washington. Earlier this year, I became a chess National Master, meaning my US rating exceeded 2200. Reaching this important milestone, I qualified with personal right for the 2014 World Youth Chess Championships that will be held in Durban, South Africa.
Back in 2012, I won the K-5 National Championship and qualified for and competed in the 2012 WYCC in Slovenia. I finished 21st in the world in the U12 division. Additionally, I have won more than 5 national speed chess championships. My goals are to win a World Youth Championship for the USA before the end of High School, become a Grand Master (rating of 2500), and ultimately become one of the best chess players in the world.
I am truly passionate about chess, mostly self-taught, and completely self-motivated. My family does their best to fund my journey, but at this juncture, I realize that I need additional help to reach my goals. With your financial support, I could fast-track my training and travel to compete in high-level tournaments in the US and abroad.
Representing the US at Worlds is a huge honor, and it comes with a huge price tag. Please consider contributing to my chess fund and helping me achieve my goals.
