An Uninsured Loved One with Chronic Pain

My name is Amber and I am a young artist currently living in Columbus, OH. I previously made a GoFundMe to help a loved one who was struggling with homelessness at the beginning of the pandemic, and I was astounded by the level of support my community showed them. Another close loved one of mine, who suffers from chronic illness, is uninsured and needs help raising money for medical tests vital to their health. I am using this campaign to relieve some of the financial stress of their outstanding medical bills and tests they need.


This is a time not only when so many of us have been feeling an increased financial strain, but also when we have become hyper-aware of our overall health and bodily functions in the day-to-day. At a time like this, constantly worrying about your health is exhausting–adding then the burdensome reality of being uninsured makes these daily fears feel even more daunting. 

I have decided to start this campaign for my friend–who would like to keep their identity private–because I have faith that if I reach out and ask my community for support, together we have the power to provide all that we need.
