An opportunity to climb at Worlds!

Spende geschützt
On January 4th, 2013, Jake Sanchez lost his leg in a hit and run accident. After a year of recovery, relearning basic skills, and struggling with an incredible loss, Jake discovered rock climbing, instantly developing a deep passion for the sport. Jake credits climbing with giving him strength and confidence and being the first thing that truly made him feel like himself again! Since then, Jake has been working to bring those same feelings to other differently abled athletes. He has started an adaptive climbing program at his climbing gym in Los Angeles, is a member of the USA Climbing Adaptive Committee, and runs an annual trip to Joshua Tree to introduce differently abled people to the joy of climbing on real rock.

Jake’s love of the sport also influenced him to start competing, and he is currently ranked second in the nation, earning an invitation to represent the USA at the upcoming IFSC World Championship’s in Austria!

Jake is an incredibly hard working and determined individual and nothing has ever stopped him! Unfortunately, the trip to Austria is financially difficult and the only thing that might stop him now is funding.  We are humbly asking for any amount of help to get Jake over to Worlds!  Every dollar, share, and positive thought counts! Money raised will go to plane tickets, lodging, and other travel expenses for Jake and his coach. Thank you so so much for taking the time to look at this fundraiser!  We truly appreciate every share, kind word, positive vibe, and donation.  THANK YOU!
