An op for a dog

The poor dog has swoloed a piece of metal  not sure what it is and it has punctuated his stomach and his lung and his throat  I have only just got him and he has become an amazing part of my life ,I have fallen head over heels with him it's an op  or put him down and I'm not doing that ,please help
