Amy rides for Haworth RDA

Haworth Riding for the Disabled have been enabling disabled riders in and around Yorkshire to learn and excel in horse riding for nearly two decades. For Amy this helps her relax and gives her time to process the anxieties that her condition brings and some of the professionals who work with Amy have been so impressed by its effect that they have specifically written about how important it is. Due to Covid-19 all lessons have had to stop; the group now receive no regular income, but the horses still need looking after, the yard maintaining and the dedicated staff who carry out the work paying.  They have arranged for a safe, socially distant fundraiser where members can ride the mechanical horse (Penny) for 45 minutes. For Amy, this a terrifying prospect. While riding real horses calms her, she has always declined riding on it because of the noise and movement but has pledged to try and combat her anxieties to raise money for this charity that means so much to her. For Amy RDA has given her confidence, motivation and skills while being noted for helping her mental and physical health - please give generously and keep this important local charity going.
