On January 24, 2018, the world lost one of its most beautiful souls. Amy Lyn Mazzola unexpectedly passed away in the early morning hours leaving behind family and friends with a piece of their hearts missing.
Amy, as a daughter, sister, grandchild, and friend, had a smile and a presence that could fill any room regardless of its size. Her smile was as big as her personality and dangerously contagious. It was nearly impossible to see Amy’s smile and hear the wave of sarcasm and wit that would flow from her tongue and remain in a bad mood or down in the dumps. As an honor graduate from Santana High School and a graduate of University of California San Diego, Amy was highly intelligent.
Through this GoFundMe campaign, our family would like to fund a $500 annual scholarship awarded to a student at Santana High School and provide other charitable donations throughout the community in Amy’s honor. Amy touched so many souls in her time on this earth and we would like to share the opportunity for everyone to contribute and be a part of her legacy. Scholarships will be a onetime award to a new recipient every year at Senior Award Night. During Amy’s time at Santana, she was active in the ASB where she served three years, two of them as President. The funds collected during this campaign will determine the duration of years of the Amy Mazzola Memorial Scholarship.
Please, any size donation will help. Our goal is to raise $10,000 with a minimum of $5,000 set aside for the use of the Santana scholarship fund. This scholarship will allow Amy to continue to make positive impact on younger generations.

We would like to thank everybody for their generosity in supporting this campaign. More so, from our family, we would like to thank everyone for their support over the last three years that we have been without Amy. We hope that everyone who's life was touched by Amy's, continues to carry her memory with them throughout their life's journey.
Our goal in establishing this Go Fund Me campaign is continue Amy's memory by touching the lives of Santana students in the form of a yearly scholarship. Over the last three years, we have issued an annual $500 scholarship to one student.

We will begin the process of selection our 2021 scholarship recipient in the next two weeks. There is a lot of work that goes into the process besides selecting the candidates. This scholarship is has been made possible by Amy's friends and family as well as the incredible staff at Santana High School, especially Mrs S and Mr L.
