Amora is a surviver, but now she needs your HELP!
Dear all
17th of May 2021 7:00 am, we were travelling by car and, upon arriving at S.B. Messines, we found a cat on the side of a road, seemingly still after being hit by a car. Upon turning around and stopping the car nearby, we noticed that the little one was agonizing in pain, with an injury on the mouth.
We rolled the cat on a towel and took it immediately to the vet. There we found out she was a young female cat! The x-ray revealed a jaw fracture and, unfortunately, she also tested positively for FELV (Feline Leukemia Virus) - which makes her a true survivor, as this condition has a major impact on her immune response. So we decided to start calling her Amora, because love (amor) is what she will need for a full recovery and a happy life!
18th of May, Amora was subjected to a successful surgery to repair her jaw and started a recovery period to regain her strength!
Unfortunatly, she also had a spontaneous abortion due to her condition, so we did an eco to confirm if everything was ok after. And it was! She is incredibly strong!
As many of you understand, sometimes we want to do our best to help but we lack the necessary means. That is why we are asking for your financial support so that that we can pay for all the vet expenses (surgery, treatment, exams and recovery). We need around 450€ for the following expenses (evidence receipts in the updates):
- X-Ray exam, FIV/FELV test (with FELV PCR), jaw surgery, hospitalization and treatment: 390€
- Neutering (after full recovery!)
- Crowdfunding fees: 50 €
Amora appreciates all the help you can give, and we will keep sharing with you her journey to recovery!
Thank you! (=^.^=)
PS - We are available to talk about the adoption of Amora into a caring and loving family that can help her living with her illness.
