Lana Ahrens Cancer Fight!

Lana was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2009.  Like most people who are told they need to do chemotherapy, one hopes to do one round and be done.  After almost 5 years of chemo treatments, local doctors said there was no more they could do for her.  She then researched alternative treatment options which led her to Scottsdale, Arizona where she is receiving promising naturopathic medicine.  The initial plan was to be there for 6-8 weeks.  Lana goes through 4-6 hours of IVs 5 days a week.  Doctors have recently decided to add chemo to this regimen as results are needed quicker.  In addition to feeling worn out daily, she has to deal with being away from her family and friends in an unfamiliar home and community.    As a result of the excellent care she is receiving, there comes a large increase in medical bills that are not covered by insurance ($10,000 a week).  Let’s all pull together and try to take the expense worry off of her.   Any help is greatly appreciated, even the smallest help can make this journey a bit easier on her.
