Just a girl and her van!
Hi there! Thank you for taking time to check out my first ever GoFundMe! Grab some coffee and I hope I inform as well as entertain you!
My name is Kim and due to some very crazy life changing events the past few years, I have found myself having to reinvent my life at a time when I should be gearing down to retire! But due to a spousal unit going bad and twelve years of the corporate grind ending I found myself with the unique “opportunity” to take a moment (very brief moment!) and evaluate life. So after about a minute I moved cross country, bought a farm and started driving the Amish! I find that not having “big brother” breathing down my back every minute is wonderful and business has been steadily growing but now I need to “move it on up”. While driving around this beautiful countryside I had an epiphany! Why should I be the only “English” person to enjoy all this rural air? Why not share the joy? But with a twist! Offer tours of Amish country via a shopping trip! Shop the local Amish owned stores that only the Amish go to! Check out where THEY shop daily and also get to see some amazing country and farms! So operation “Shop and Tour” was born! But alas some upgrades need to be made before “Shop and Tour v.1” can be launched. My trusty steed (the van or modus operandus taxius) needs help! The list below explains where your much needed (and appreciated) funds will be put to use and also where I need creative input! Now you may be saying “why put all this money into that old van”. Well she may be old an old broad but a younger, sexier model can be even more high maintenance and not have the drive (all wheel in this case!) as the older one! And Gracie has a lot more life in her!
Paint and bodywork - She needs a makeover! Repaint and fix the dings. Suggestions for a smashing new color (white is so bland!) would be wonderful and also a logo!
Tires - Baby needs a new set of shoes!
Tie rods and ball joints - She’s a little old (don’t let her hear that!) and needs a little balance work!
Shocks - Joint replacement!
Rear bumper - Got a little junk in the trunk!
Air conditioning - She’s having hot flashes….
Exhaust system - We won’t speak of this…TMI…
Electrical - Her eyes are bad..keeps burning out headlights..
