A Mile A Cure, Every Step Counts

What if there was a rainbow and at the end of that rainbow was a pot of gold?  What if that pot of gold could fund the cure for cancer?  Now, what if I told you that pot of gold was only 700 miles away and that all you had to get it were to simply walk there?   Would you do it?  Right now?  Get up in the morning and just start walking...

Christopher Prado is doing just that.  On July 16th, 2012 he will leave his home in Tucson, AZ and attempt to walk to Colorado Springs, CO.  You see, 14 years ago he lost his wife to breast cancer and now today, a very close friend of his is facing a similar battle.  So, with only a camera in hand, backpacking gear, a destination and determination he will face the journey of his lifetime as he confronts the elements of nature while meeting and filming in documentary format, those people affected directly or indirectly.

HIS GOAL - To raise HOPE that those affected are not alone

                 To raise AWARENESS that it is happening everywhere

                 To raise $1,000,000 so that we can open a scholarship

The scholarship will assist those who need help monetarily for bills and basic expenses while going through therapy.  The eventual opening ofThe H.O.P.E Ranch (Healing Oasis Provided for Everyone). This facility will house those affected and their spouses and children while going through thier therapy.  It is a hotel for healing.
